Band Biography
Conceived in 2005 upon the dissolution of his former band, Jim McLean set out to start a new project with a grittier/heavier edge than his previous group, yet maintain the melodic aspect in his creativity.

Wood shedding ideas with a drummer and bassist for the better part of 2005, the search was on for a singer that could deliver with power, melody and character. While auditioning singers, they were waiting for the one that would walk in and knock them on their asses.
That would eventually come in the form of David Russ...

Like Jim, Dave brings a strong ability to write and an insight into what makes a great band.
The two instantly formed a writing partnership that clicked. They began writing songs that would eventually find a home on the first Top Dead Centre album , "Far From Nowhere" (2008).
The response to the album has been nothing short of incredible. It's been added to numerous internet radio playlists receiving heavy rotation and positive feedback garnering them a nomination for "Best Loud/Metal Recording of the Year" in the 2009 Hamilton Music Awards.

Heavy gigging in support of their debut album enabled the band to develop a loyal and dedicated fan base across Southern Ontario, meanwhile garnering a new legion of fans south of the boarder via the internet.

2010 saw the departure of their drummer and bassist, rendering TDC without a rhythm section. The search for musicians was on...

2010 was also a difficult time for the band, having to rebuild their studio after a major flood and replacing musicians in the midst of recording their sophomore album. The new album, which can simply be described as TDC on steroids, is a considerably harder driving album sonically and song wise, is slated for an August 2011 release.

Rounding out the band lineup is the new slamming rhythm section of Chris Getchell on Drums and Elvis Behm on Bass guitar. Also the addition of Rob Kemp on guitar gives the band a renewed sense of power and dynamic, especially to their live sound.

With the band united again, Top Dead Centre has been reborn and is once again ready to get back to kickin ass on every stage they grace.
